Our first full-dress parade was shortened by rain, but the Corps of Cadets improvised, adapted and overcame. Instead of holding the parade on the rain-soaked parade deck, the Corps formed up in Fraley Circle, with the band positioned in front of Wicker Chapel. RADM Burhoe introduced our guest of honor, Robert Spencer, a retired faculty member who spent more than thirty years at the Academy and is well-remembered by cadets of the 60s, 70s, and 80s. The Corps then Passed In Review to honor COL Spencer at the steps of Hatcher Hall.
