The Middle School Orienteering Team competed at Pohick Bay, Sunday, February 26. Julian Yescas and Zach Miller placed 2nd and 4th, respectively, on the novice course. Thomas Snow, running in his first competition, looked like an old pro, as he finished 2nd on the beginner course. In addition to competing the team took in an extra training course at the intermediate level in an effort to prepare for upcoming national competitions. The team was also pleasantly surprised to meet up with former FUMA orienteering star, John Texeira. John showed that he still had some skills left by placing third on an advanced course.
