Middle School Cadet J. Higgins' name was drawn as the winner of the opportunity to be the first cadet in the new pool. Cadets earned the chance for their name to be drawn by contributing to the Hurricane Katrina Relief effort undertaken by the Academy. Over $5,000 has been raised to date in this effort.
